HOW DOES CORONAVIRUS SPREAD?

COVID-19 is mostly likely spread through:

  • direct close contact with a person while they are infectious (usually face to face contact for at least 15 minutes; or being in the same closed space for at least 2 hours
  • contact with droplets from an infected person’s cough or sneeze.

COVID-19 may also spread through:

  • touching objects or surfaces (like doorknobs or tables, mobile phones, stair rails, elevator buttons) that have droplets from a cough or sneeze of an infected person, and then touching your mouth, nose, eyes or fac

WHAT TOUCH-POINTS WOULD BE CLEANED?

The frequently touched surfaces within your premises are likely to include the following:

  • Desktops and work surfaces
  • Doorknobs, doorplates & handles
  • Light switches
  • Computer keyboards / Mouse
  • Telephone equipment
  • Chairs
  • Canteen furniture
  • Sinks and kitchens
  • Toilets – Taps / Flushers / Dispensers
  • Water fountains
  • Vending machines
  • Tablets and digital devices
  • Lifts and escalators
  • Handrails.

WHAT IS DISINFECTANT FOGGING?

It is an effective infection control technique, applying chemical disinfectants to areas as fogs or mists by using ULV fogging machine.

The purpose is to create and disperse a disinfectant aerosol to reduce the numbers of airborne micro-organisms and also to apply disinfectant to surfaces that may be difficult to reach.

Under typical conditions, fogging is carried out for a minimum of 15–30 minutes to enable the fog to disperse and the chemical action to occur. After fogging, an additional period of 45–60 minutes is required to allow the droplets to settle out of the air and onto the surfaces.

WHY IS FOGGING SO EFFECTIVE AT INFECTION CONTROL?

Whilst targeted physical cleaning and disinfection regimes may be sufficient to day to day contamination, they are not necessarily sufficient to eliminate the array of micro-organisms which can persist in your workplace.

As an additional treatment to conventional cleaning methods, a place can be fogged to provide hole room decontamination, including in difficult to reach areas like ceilings, high walls, and cupboards.

This process leaves your premises as infection-free as is possible.

WHAT PROCESSES DO WE USE FOR CORONAVIRUS DISINFECTION?

  • TOUCH-POINT Surface cleaning - We will focus on cleaning/sanitisation of all regular touch-points in your building.
  • FOGGING - We will then carry out a fogging process throughout your building using TGA approved disinfectant chemical.

WHAT IS OUR RESPONSE TIME?

Due to high demand for our infection control services due to the coronavirus threats, our services are in high demand and site visits will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

HOW LONG DO OUR DISINFECTION SERVICES TAKE?

The time needed to treat your premises depends on the size of your premises and the total area that requires sanitation and disinfection.
